R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Bahá'í Faith, a worldwide religion that
  originated in the mid-19th century, is dedicated to promoting the
  principles of unity, peace, and justice, while emphasizing the
  oneness of humanity and the equal worth of all people; and
         WHEREAS, This religious group has been an integral part of
  Texas for many decades, and its adherents have greatly enriched our
  state through their acts of service and interfaith collaboration
  and through their support for initiatives that promote education,
  community development, and racial harmony; and
         WHEREAS, Across Texas, Bahá'ís uphold their faith's core
  teachings of love, service, and the independent investigation of
  truth, and they strive to foster understanding and cooperation
  among people from all walks of life; and
         WHEREAS, The observance of Bahá'í Day provides an opportunity
  for all Texans to recognize and appreciate the positive difference
  that the Bahá'í community has made in our state, as well as to
  reflect on the universal values of peace, justice, and social
  progress that are the foundation of the religion; and
         WHEREAS, The Bahá'í Faith has inspired countless followers to
  become agents of change for the good of all humankind, and through
  the celebration of Bahá'í Day at the State Capitol, we are affirming
  our state's commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and the shared
  pursuit of a more just and unified society; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize April 29, 2025, as Bahá'í Day at the
  State Capitol and encourage all Texans to join in honoring the
  contributions of the Bahá'í community to our great state.
