H.R. No. 452

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The observance of International Women's Day on
	March 8, 2025, provides an opportunity to recognize the many
	contributions women have made to our society; and
	WHEREAS, International Women's Day was first observed in the
	United States in 1910, and over the decades, numerous countries
	have set aside a day to honor women for their achievements and
	promote gender equality; and
	WHEREAS, International Women's Day currently takes place
	each year on March 8, when millions of people around the globe join
	together to highlight the successes of women and raise awareness of
	gender inequality; and
	WHEREAS, Women have contributed to the vibrancy and
	prosperity of the Lone Star State in many ways, and International
	Women's Day serves to rally communities worldwide in the effort to
	empower women in all walks of life; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
	Legislature hereby recognize March 8, 2025, as International
	Women's Day.
