R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Representatives of the Texas Prevention Network are |
|
|
visiting the State Capitol on March 6, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established by TexProtects in 2012, the Texas |
|
|
Prevention Network serves as a collaboration platform for |
|
|
organizations that strive to prevent child abuse and neglect; the |
|
|
network facilitates peer-to-peer connections and resource sharing, |
|
|
hosts educational sessions, and disseminates updates from state |
|
|
agencies and other groups engaged in this work; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas Prevention Network is made up of more than |
|
|
250 direct service providers from across the state; all of the |
|
|
providers and affiliated programs work toward the common goal of |
|
|
supporting families in order to keep them safe, healthy, together, |
|
|
and self-sufficient; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Among the organizations participating in Texas |
|
|
Prevention Network Day are Hope Cottage, Any Baby Can, Parents as |
|
|
Teachers, Buckner International, Presbyterian Children's Homes and |
|
|
Services, and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than a decade, the Texas Prevention Network |
|
|
has served as an important resource for those working to protect the |
|
|
state's most vulnerable population, and it is indeed deserving of |
|
|
recognition for its contributions to the well-being of countless |
|
|
young Texans and their families; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize March 6, 2025, as Texas Prevention |
|
|
Network Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the |
|
|
visiting delegation. |
