R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Moo-Moo has opened its third location in Port |
|
|
Lavaca, providing a fitting opportunity to recognize the popular |
|
|
fried chicken restaurant; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded by Milton Neitsch Sr., the first Moo-Moo |
|
|
restaurant was built on South Moody Street in Victoria in 1966; |
|
|
after 45 years of working in the business established by his father, |
|
|
Lewis Neitsch sold the restaurant to a fellow Victoria resident in |
|
|
2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The new owner, Mark Shoemake, retained the beloved |
|
|
eatery's menu and staff; he opened a second Moo-Moo location in |
|
|
Victoria in 2017, and the new Port Lavaca restaurant opened in |
|
|
January 2025; Moo-Moo has been voted "Best Fried Chicken" by |
|
|
Victoria Advocate readers many times; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since its inception nearly six decades ago, Moo-Moo |
|
|
has won the loyalty and appreciation of generations of customers, |
|
|
and the restaurant's new location is sure to be a welcome addition |
|
|
to the Port Lavaca community; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Moo-Moo on the opening of its third |
|
|
location and extend to owner Mark Shoemake and his staff sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success with this new venture; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
