R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, House District 76, located in Fort Bend County, is a
  diverse, culturally rich, and economically vibrant region of almost
  200,000 Texans; and
         WHEREAS, Nearly 78 percent of the district's population
  identifies as non-Anglo, making it one of the most ethnically
  diverse in Texas, and the district is home to a significant number
  of Asian, Black, and Hispanic residents who contribute greatly to
  its multicultural character; and
         WHEREAS, The thriving communities of House District 76
  include the cities of Sugar Land, Richmond, Stafford, and Meadows
  Place as well as unincorporated areas of Fort Bend County, each
  playing a vital role in the growth and economic development of the
  district; and
         WHEREAS, Students residing in House District 76 are served by
  several outstanding school districts, including the Fort Bend
  Independent School District, Lamar Consolidated Independent School
  District, and Stafford Municipal School District, which are all
  dedicated to providing a high-quality education and preparing the
  area's future leaders for success; and
         WHEREAS, Coupled with its small businesses, House District
  76's robust health care, technology, and education sectors are key
  contributors to job creation and economic vitality that benefit
  both the local community and Texas at large; and
         WHEREAS, The district boasts a highly educated workforce,
  with close to 46 percent of residents holding a bachelor's degree or
  higher; a large percentage of the district's population is employed
  in the professional services, education, health care, and
  technology sectors, reinforcing the state's standing as a leader in
  innovation and economic opportunity; and
         WHEREAS, House District 76 Day at the State Capitol provides
  an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and
  unique character of the district, to promote awareness of its
  dynamic communities, and to advocate for policies that support its
  continued growth and prosperity; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize March 31, 2025, as House District 76
  Day at the State Capitol and commend the residents, business
  leaders, educators, and community advocates of House District 76
  for their dedication to making Texas a stronger and more inclusive
  state.
