R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Proud representatives of the De Leon Independent
  School District are gathering in Austin on March 20, 2025, to take
  part in De Leon ISD Day at the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, Encompassing 272 square miles located primarily in
  Comanche County, De Leon ISD serves a population of approximately
  700 students at three schools; the district's educators and staff
  are committed to providing a safe learning environment that
  encourages and challenges every student to achieve success; and
         WHEREAS, De Leon ISD has earned an overall "A" rating from the
  Texas Education Agency; in addition, De Leon Elementary School and
  the district at large have been named to the Texas Honor Roll by the
  Educational Results Partnership organization, and De Leon High
  School has been nominated as a National Blue Ribbon campus; and
         WHEREAS, The district issues a computer to each of its
  students as part of its effort to equip young people with the
  knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today's
  technology-driven economy; to further a supportive and
  well-rounded learning environment, De Leon ISD provides school
  supplies and meals to all students at no cost, and it offers a host
  of extracurricular activities and fields teams in a full range of
  athletic competitions; and
         WHEREAS, The faculty, staff, administration, and students of
  De Leon ISD are building on a proud legacy of educational excellence
  and innovation, and it is fitting to acknowledge the meaningful
  contributions the district has made to the future of its community
  and the state as a whole; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize March 20, 2025, as De Leon Independent
  School District Day at the State Capitol and extend to the visiting
  delegation sincere best wishes for an enjoyable visit to Austin.
