R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Leaders from the Katy business community and the
  Katy Independent School District are gathering in Austin on
  March 19, 2025, to participate in Katy Business and Education
  Legislative Day at the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, The Katy area is home to a dynamic and rapidly
  growing business sector as well as one of the most highly regarded
  school districts in Texas, both of which play an important role in
  shaping the economic and educational landscape of the state; this
  also makes Katy uniquely positioned to contribute to the
  development of policies that align career training and workforce
  pathways with the evolving needs of Texas industries; and
         WHEREAS, Among the individuals joining together in
  observance of this legislative day are members of the Katy Area
  Chamber of Commerce and the Katy Area Economic Development Council;
  supporting educational interests are several leaders from Katy ISD
  and members of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees; and
         WHEREAS, By fostering collaboration between business and
  education leaders, the Katy business community and Katy Independent
  School District are working to advance policies that help ensure a
  strong and competitive workforce for the future of Texas; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize March 19, 2025, as Katy Business and
  Education Legislative Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm
  welcome to the visiting delegation.
