R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Leaders from the Katy business community and the |
|
|
Katy Independent School District are gathering in Austin on |
|
|
March 19, 2025, to participate in Katy Business and Education |
|
|
Legislative Day at the State Capitol; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Katy area is home to a dynamic and rapidly |
|
|
growing business sector as well as one of the most highly regarded |
|
|
school districts in Texas, both of which play an important role in |
|
|
shaping the economic and educational landscape of the state; this |
|
|
also makes Katy uniquely positioned to contribute to the |
|
|
development of policies that align career training and workforce |
|
|
pathways with the evolving needs of Texas industries; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Among the individuals joining together in |
|
|
observance of this legislative day are members of the Katy Area |
|
|
Chamber of Commerce and the Katy Area Economic Development Council; |
|
|
supporting educational interests are several leaders from Katy ISD |
|
|
and members of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By fostering collaboration between business and |
|
|
education leaders, the Katy business community and Katy Independent |
|
|
School District are working to advance policies that help ensure a |
|
|
strong and competitive workforce for the future of Texas; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize March 19, 2025, as Katy Business and |
|
|
Education Legislative Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm |
|
|
welcome to the visiting delegation. |
