R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the student council at Liberty Elementary |
|
|
School in the Liberty Independent School District are visiting the |
|
|
State Capitol on March 28, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The group is made up of outstanding fourth- and |
|
|
fifth-grade students who were selected by their peers for their |
|
|
commitment to service, responsibility, and teamwork; they meet once |
|
|
a month and participate in a variety of projects, events, and |
|
|
activities to develop their leadership skills; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During their visit to the State Capitol, the group's |
|
|
members will learn more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
important role that citizens play in shaping public policy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their involvement in their school's student |
|
|
council, these fine young Texans are building a strong foundation |
|
|
that will help them become engaged leaders in their community, and |
|
|
they are indeed worthy of special recognition; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the members of the Liberty Elementary |
|
|
School Student Council on the occasion of their visit to the State |
|
|
Capitol and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
