R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Deena Ford has been honored with the EXCEL Award for |
|
|
the East Central Independent School District by Credit Human and |
|
|
the KENS 5 television station; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, KENS 5 partners with Credit Human to |
|
|
present the EXCEL Awards to outstanding educators from local school |
|
|
districts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Ford realized a childhood dream later in life |
|
|
when she embarked on a career in education; she currently serves as |
|
|
a math teacher at Legacy Middle School in San Antonio, where she has |
|
|
impressed her colleagues with her ability to connect with students |
|
|
and her willingness to go above and beyond to help them succeed; her |
|
|
efforts were previously recognized with her selection as East |
|
|
Central ISD's 2023-2024 District Teacher of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her dedication, expertise, and innovative |
|
|
spirit, Deena Ford has made a positive difference in the lives of |
|
|
numerous young Texans, and she is indeed deserving of this notable |
|
|
honor; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Deena Ford on receiving the EXCEL |
|
|
Award for the East Central Independent School District and extend |
|
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success in her important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ford as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
