R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Members of Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) are gathering in Austin on April 2, 2025, to celebrate Strength in Unity: Elevating Texas Together Day at the State Capitol; and

WHEREAS, An international spiritual organization, BAPS has long been a pillar of service, unity, and cultural enrichment in Texas, fostering values of faith, family, and service across the state; its members serve their communities under the guidance and example of the group's spiritual leader, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj; and

WHEREAS, An occasion dedicated to promoting progress, collaboration, civic engagement, and the spirit of togetherness, the Strength in Unity: Elevating Texas Together event highlights the myriad contributions that the BAPS community has made to the Lone Star State, including its commitment to humanitarian efforts, educational initiatives, and interfaith harmony; and

WHEREAS, The gathering at the State Capitol also serves as a platform to recognize the importance of diversity and unity and to reflect on the many benefits of the state's rich blend of cultures; and

WHEREAS, BAPS volunteers set an inspiring example through their leadership and selfless service, and their acts of kindness, civic responsibility, and charitable outreach uplift communities throughout the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas Legislature hereby recognize April 2, 2025, as Strength in Unity: Elevating Texas Together Day at the State Capitol and extend to the members of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha spiritual organization sincere appreciation for their contributions; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for BAPS as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
