R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Terriny Pace of Killeen High School closed out her |
|
|
senior year of competition in triumphant fashion, winning a state |
|
|
title at the 2025 Texas High School Women's Powerlifting |
|
|
Association 6A State Championship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school lifters in Texas |
|
|
at the state meet in Edinburg on March 12, Ms. Pace delivered an |
|
|
exceptional performance in the 242-plus-pound weight class; |
|
|
hoisting a personal-best and meet-record 545 pounds in the squat, |
|
|
225 pounds in the bench press, and 470 pounds in the dead lift, she |
|
|
racked up 1,240 total pounds to clinch the state crown; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Pace ranks among the best lifters in the state, |
|
|
and she has received a full scholarship to attend Midland |
|
|
University, where she will compete in powerlifting; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Winning a state championship represents the |
|
|
culmination of countless hours of hard work and an unwavering |
|
|
commitment to excellence, and Terriny Pace may indeed reflect with |
|
|
pride on this outstanding accomplishment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Terriny Pace on winning the state |
|
|
title in the 242-plus-pound weight class at the 2025 THSWPA 6A State |
|
|
Championship and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Pace as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
