H.R. No. 734

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Nicole Bolaños-Mata has been named the 2025 Teacher of the Year at Wooldridge Elementary School in the Austin Independent School District; and

WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to become successful and productive adults, and those men and women who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and

WHEREAS, The Campus Teacher of the Year award recognizes full-time educators or interventionists who have taught in Austin ISD for at least three years and have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to inspiring a love of learning, building collaborative relationships, and creating learning experiences that lead to high expectations and positive outcomes; honorees are first nominated for consideration by their fellow faculty members, and campus winners become eligible for the district title; and

WHEREAS, Nicole Bolaños-Mata exemplifies the passion, determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Nicole Bolaños-Mata on her selection as the 2025 Teacher of the Year at Wooldridge Elementary School and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Bolaños-Mata as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
