R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Nancy Casas has been named the 2025 Teacher of the |
|
|
Year at St. Elmo Elementary School in the Austin Independent School |
|
|
District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Campus Teacher of the Year award recognizes |
|
|
full-time educators or interventionists who have taught in Austin |
|
|
ISD for at least three years and have demonstrated an unwavering |
|
|
commitment to inspiring a love of learning, building collaborative |
|
|
relationships, and creating learning experiences that lead to high |
|
|
expectations and positive outcomes; honorees are first nominated |
|
|
for consideration by their fellow faculty members, and campus |
|
|
winners become eligible for the district title; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Nancy Casas exemplifies the passion, determination, |
|
|
and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, |
|
|
and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in her |
|
|
profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Nancy Casas on her selection as the |
|
|
2025 Teacher of the Year at St. Elmo Elementary School and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued success with her important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Casas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
