R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jacob Benner of Anahuac Middle School has been |
|
|
invited to participate in the Middle School Honors Performance |
|
|
Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City from June 24 to 28, 2025; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An eighth-grade French horn player, Jacob was |
|
|
nominated for the program by his band director, Morgan Contreras; |
|
|
Jacob was subsequently invited to audition in October 2024, and |
|
|
after submitting three pieces, he earned a spot in the elite group; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Composed of talented middle school students from all |
|
|
over the country, the ensemble will rehearse for three days, |
|
|
culminating in a performance at Carnegie Hall; in addition, Jacob |
|
|
and his family will use the opportunity to enjoy a trip to the Big |
|
|
Apple; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This gifted young Texan has demonstrated |
|
|
outstanding talent, work ethic, and dedication to his craft, and he |
|
|
may indeed take great pride in this notable achievement; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob Benner on his selection for |
|
|
the Middle School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Jacob as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
