R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The Reverend Allen Page III of Metropolitan |
|
Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Houston is serving as |
|
Pastor of the Day for the Texas House of Representatives on May 6, |
|
2025; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Columbus, Georgia, Reverend Page is a |
|
graduate of Morehouse College and the Phillips School of Theology |
|
at the Interdenominational Theological Center; he has more than 25 |
|
years of ministerial experience, a decade of which has been spent |
|
serving Metropolitan CME; moreover, he is the director of |
|
accounting for the Eighth Episcopal District, as well as the |
|
treasurer of its Southeast Texas Region and Houston District, and |
|
he is a member of the General Connectional Board of the Christian |
|
Methodist Episcopal Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, Allen Page exemplifies the highest standards of his |
|
vocation, and over the years, he has inspired countless Texans |
|
through his messages of faith and goodwill; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor the Reverend Allen Page III for his |
|
service as Pastor of the Day and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
for continued success and fulfillment in his ministry; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Reverend Page as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
