R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Pursuit Center in Houston is celebrating the 75th
  anniversary of its founding in 2025; and
         WHEREAS, In 1950, the center was established by a group of
  parents who sought to improve the quality of life for their children
  with intellectual and developmental disabilities; since its
  inception, the nonprofit has provided services to countless
  individuals with special needs, empowering them to achieve
  independence and reach their full potential as engaged members of
  their communities; and
         WHEREAS, Pursuit Center offers a holistic approach to support
  participants in all areas of their lives; the center's health and
  wellness services promote physical, mental, and emotional
  well-being through tailored behavioral supports and partnerships
  with health care organizations; moreover, the center's employment
  services program, PursuitJOBS, provides personalized career
  planning and job training to high school students and adults, and
  its residential services connect participants with a variety of
  housing options licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services
  Commission as well as other private housing models; the
  organization also offers recreational and educational programs to
  help participants develop crucial life skills and explore their
  interests; and
         WHEREAS, Over the past seven and a half decades, Pursuit
  Center has been an invaluable resource for Texans with intellectual
  and developmental disabilities, and it is indeed a pleasure to join
  in marking this significant milestone in its history; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pursuit
  Center and extend to all those affiliated with the organization
  sincere best wishes for continued success with their important
  work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
