R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life well lived may help to comfort the |
|
family and friends of Jutson Benard Holton Jr., who passed away on |
|
March 23, 2025, at the age of 78; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jutson Holton Jr. was born on February 26, 1947, to |
|
Ruby Farthing Holton and Jutson B. Holton Sr., who taught him to |
|
take pride in his work and to stand firm in the face of adversity; he |
|
grew up with the companionship of eight siblings, and his |
|
involvement in the Boy Scouts further shaped his character as a |
|
youth; and |
|
WHEREAS, A resident of Houston, Mr. Holton previously lived |
|
in Mississippi and in Louisiana, where he was employed at the Enjay |
|
Baton Rouge Plastics Plant; his cherished family grew to include |
|
children and grandchildren, and he made countless happy memories |
|
with his loved ones over the years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although he is greatly missed, Jutson Holton was a |
|
source of joy and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to |
|
know him, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jutson Benard |
|
Holton Jr. and extend deepest sympathy to his family and friends |
|
and to all those who mourn his passing; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jutson |
|
Holton. |
