R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of the Anahuac High School Student Council
  furthered the school's tradition of excellence by earning the
  Outstanding Student Council and Sweepstakes awards at the Texas
  Association of Student Councils District 17 Spring Convention on
  February 26, 2025; and
         WHEREAS, The Outstanding Student Council award is presented
  to councils that model excellence in organization and structure,
  specific project areas, and participation in TASC programs; the
  Sweepstakes award additionally recognizes those schools that have
  received the Outstanding Student Council Award in the categories of
  pride and patriotism, energy and environment, community service,
  and drugs, alcohol, safety, and health (DASH); and
         WHEREAS, During the 2024-2025 school year, the Anahuac
  Student Council took part in initiatives that extended throughout
  the broader Chambers County community; they also hosted four blood
  drives and participated in campus beautification projects;
  moreover, the council was involved with the 2025 TASC State Service
  Project, which focused on encouraging students to build healthy and
  positive interpersonal relationships; and
         WHEREAS, These awards represent the culmination of countless
  hours of hard work and an unwavering commitment to excellence, and
  the members of the Anahuac High School Student Council may indeed
  reflect with pride on their achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Anahuac High School Student
  Council on earning the District 17 Outstanding Student Council and
  Sweepstakes awards from the Texas Association of Student Councils
  and extend to the members of the council sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the council as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
