R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Cooper Steven Dawson of the Greenville Police
  Department was killed in the line of duty on November 26, 2024, at
  the age of 28, and his untimely passing is a tragic loss to his
  family, to his fellow officers, and to the residents of his
  community; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Bedford on December 20, 1995, to Steven and
  Marisa Dawson, Cooper Dawson grew up with the companionship of his
  two sisters, Kristen and Ashley; prior to joining the Greenville
  Police Department, he was a police officer with the City of Garland;
  throughout his career in law enforcement, he demonstrated a
  courageous spirit and a steadfast dedication to protecting and
  serving his community; and
         WHEREAS, Officer Dawson was known for his magnetic
  personality, his open heart, and his delightful sense of humor; a
  family man, he enjoyed creating lasting memories with those closest
  to him; in all his endeavors, he benefited from the love and support
  of his wife, Aubrey, and their three children, Ayden, Parker, and
  Kody; and
         WHEREAS, Cooper Dawson was a courageous and caring law
  enforcement officer who embodied the highest ideals of his
  profession, and he will forever be remembered with admiration and
  affection by those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Officer Cooper
  Steven Dawson and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of
  his family: to his wife, Aubrey Dawson; to his children, Ayden,
  Parker, and Kody Dawson; to his parents, Steven and Marisa Dawson;
  to his sisters, Kristen Dawson and her partner, Micah, and Ashley
  Sandoval and her husband, Kegan; to his grandfather, Randy Wright;
  and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Cooper
  Dawson.
