R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Michael Boyle is retiring from St. Joseph High |
|
School in Victoria in 2025, drawing to a close an outstanding career |
|
in education that has spanned nearly six decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Boyle began his career with St. Joseph in 1966, |
|
and over the course of his more than 50-year tenure, he has taught |
|
English, Spanish, world history, government, and economics; |
|
moreover, from 1979 to 1989, he served the campus as an assistant |
|
principal, and since 2020, he has distinguished himself as director |
|
of facilities; along the way, he briefly taught at Colegio Santa |
|
María Marianistas in Lima, Peru, and at Mount Sacred Heart Catholic |
|
School in San Antonio; he holds both bachelor's and master's degrees |
|
from St. Mary's University; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his dedication, professionalism, and |
|
commitment to excellence, Michael Boyle has helped foster a |
|
supportive and challenging educational environment for countless |
|
young Texans, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his many |
|
achievements as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Boyle on his retirement |
|
from St. Joseph High School in Victoria and extend to him sincere |
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Boyle as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
