R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mixtli in San Antonio has been awarded a 2024 |
|
|
MICHELIN Star by the MICHELIN Guide; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, One of the most prestigious honors in the culinary |
|
|
world, a MICHELIN Star rating is regarded as the pinnacle of |
|
|
achievement for restaurants and chefs around the globe; candidates |
|
|
are evaluated by MICHELIN inspectors on the quality of their |
|
|
ingredients, the balance of flavors in their dishes, the technical |
|
|
expertise on display, the personality of the chef as conveyed |
|
|
through the cuisine, and consistency between visits; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded by Rico Torres and Diego Galicia, Mixtli is |
|
|
the sole San Antonio establishment to receive a star rating in |
|
|
MICHELIN's inaugural Texas guide; the restaurant features an |
|
|
evolving menu that explores the richness and regional diversity of |
|
|
Mexico's gastronomic landscape; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With its receipt of this prestigious honor, Mixtli |
|
|
has secured a place among the top dining establishments in the |
|
|
world, and the restaurant's ownership, management, and staff may |
|
|
indeed take pride in this impressive accomplishment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mixtli on earning a MICHELIN Star |
|
|
rating for 2024 and extend to all those associated with the |
|
|
restaurant sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
