R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lauren Beckman has been honored with a 2024 |
|
|
Outstanding Service Award from the MICHELIN Guide; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Presented in conjunction with the guide's ratings |
|
|
for restaurants and hotels, the Outstanding Service Awards are |
|
|
among a select number of MICHELIN honors that recognize hospitality |
|
|
staff members for their exceptional work; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lauren Beckman is the bar director at acclaimed San |
|
|
Antonio restaurant Mixtli, which received a coveted MICHELIN star |
|
|
in the 2024 ratings; she joined the staff in 2023, bringing to her |
|
|
position 15 years of experience gained mostly in the San Francisco |
|
|
Bay Area; since arriving in the Alamo City, she has garnered a |
|
|
number of awards and is renowned for her expertise in creating craft |
|
|
cocktails with innovative flavor profiles; she has also |
|
|
distinguished herself through her emphasis on sustainability and |
|
|
scientific technique and her commitment to providing a superb guest |
|
|
experience; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With her recognition by the MICHELIN Guide, Lauren |
|
|
Beckman has furthered the stature of the San Antonio restaurant |
|
|
scene, and she may take justifiable pride in this impressive |
|
|
achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lauren Beckman on her receipt of a |
|
|
2024 Outstanding Service Award from the MICHELIN Guide and that she |
|
|
be extended sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Beckman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
