R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mark Lucas has distinguished himself in his |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Lucas has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Cedar Park, Mr. Lucas is currently a |
|
|
junior at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is working |
|
|
towards his degree in government; active in the campus community, |
|
|
he is a member of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps program, |
|
|
and his responsibilities have included serving as assistant |
|
|
physical training officer; following his graduation in 2026, he |
|
|
will be commissioned in the U.S. Navy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mark Lucas has performed his duties as a legislative |
|
|
intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of |
|
|
special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Mark Lucas for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|
|
Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Lucas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
