R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has ably served her fellow Texans as |
|
|
a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri |
|
|
Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Brown has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Brown is currently studying neuroscience at The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin, where she has earned placement on the |
|
|
dean's list and participated in the Jefferson Scholars program; |
|
|
prior to moving to Texas, she attended The Ambrose School in Idaho |
|
|
and graduated as her class's salutatorian; she has also excelled in |
|
|
national mock trial competitions, served as a science professor |
|
|
research apprentice, and participated in varsity volleyball and |
|
|
golf; she has further distinguished herself through her involvement |
|
|
in organizing community service projects for a number of |
|
|
nonprofits; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Caroline Brown for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|
|
Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
