R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Samuel Yates has ably served his fellow Texans as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|
|
Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Yates has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Houston, Mr. Yates is a graduate |
|
|
of Liberty University Online Academy; he is currently pursuing an |
|
|
associate's degree at Lone Star College-Cyfair and plans to |
|
|
eventually earn a bachelor's degree in economics and a law degree; |
|
|
in addition to volunteering for the 2024 Donald Trump presidential |
|
|
campaign, he has served as a delegate at the state Republican Party |
|
|
convention and as an alternate delegate at the national GOP |
|
|
convention; he has also worked with underserved communities as a |
|
|
volunteer with Sports Quest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Samuel Yates has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Samuel Yates for his service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|
|
Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Yates as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
