R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth G. Alford has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Terri Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Alford has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Ms. Alford attended the |
|
|
Barbers Hill Independent School District in Mont Belvieu, and she |
|
|
is currently studying government and history with an emphasis in |
|
|
national security in the liberal arts honors program at |
|
|
The University of Texas at Austin; she has established an |
|
|
impressive record of leadership and civic engagement, including |
|
|
founding and serving as president of Girls Doing Good; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Alford has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Elizabeth G. Alford for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|
|
Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Alford as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
