H.R. No. 1001
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has ably served his fellow Texans
  as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri
  Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. McKiernan has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
  in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
  service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
  issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. McKiernan is currently pursuing a degree in
  government at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is also
  studying the philosophic origins of Western civilization as a
  member of the Jefferson Scholars Program; a military child, he has
  lived in nine states, including Massachusetts, where he attended
  high school and served as an intern for a state representative; he
  currently benefits his campus community by hosting speakers,
  leading meetings, and engaging in student advocacy in his role as
  president of the UT chapter of Turning Point USA; and
         WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has performed his duties as a
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Andrew McKiernan for his service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo
  Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
  in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. McKiernan as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
