R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has ably served his fellow Texans |
|
|
as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri |
|
|
Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. McKiernan has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. McKiernan is currently pursuing a degree in |
|
|
government at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is also |
|
|
studying the philosophic origins of Western civilization as a |
|
|
member of the Jefferson Scholars Program; a military child, he has |
|
|
lived in nine states, including Massachusetts, where he attended |
|
|
high school and served as an intern for a state representative; he |
|
|
currently benefits his campus community by hosting speakers, |
|
|
leading meetings, and engaging in student advocacy in his role as |
|
|
president of the UT chapter of Turning Point USA; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Andrew McKiernan has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Andrew McKiernan for his service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Terri Leo |
|
|
Wilson and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. McKiernan as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
