R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Amanda Leu of Hunt Elementary School has been |
|
|
nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary |
|
|
Teacher of the Year award; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Leu graduated from Plano Senior High School |
|
|
before going on to earn her undergraduate degree from the |
|
|
University of North Texas; while in college, she volunteered with |
|
|
Communities In Schools and worked as a literacy tutor for three |
|
|
years; an educator since 2018, she currently teaches third grade; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Amanda Leu exemplifies the passion, determination, |
|
|
and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, |
|
|
and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in her |
|
|
profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Amanda Leu on her nomination for |
|
|
the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary Teacher of |
|
|
the Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Leu as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
