R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jennifer Beech of Boggess Elementary School has been |
|
|
nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary |
|
|
Teacher of the Year award; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Beech has taught a variety of programs and |
|
|
grade levels since 2012, including kindergarten, first grade, |
|
|
fourth grade, special education, and English as a second language; |
|
|
she currently serves as a prekindergarten teacher, and she has |
|
|
previously volunteered in a number of schools in Michigan, Texas, |
|
|
Utah, Mexico, and Ecuador; she holds a bachelor's degree in |
|
|
elementary education from Brigham Young University, and she has |
|
|
also completed master's degree courses in literacy, math, and |
|
|
social studies at the University of Alabama; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jennifer Beech exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer Beech on her nomination |
|
|
for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary Teacher |
|
|
of the Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Beech as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
