R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lensey Sardar of Plano East Senior High School has |
|
|
been nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District |
|
|
Secondary Teacher of the Year award; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Sardar has enjoyed a rewarding career in |
|
|
education that has spanned 18 years, and she currently teaches |
|
|
English in the IB World School at Plano East Senior High; after |
|
|
graduating with a bachelor's degree in English from Texas Tech |
|
|
University, she went on to earn her master of education degree from |
|
|
Texas Woman's University, and she completed the principal |
|
|
certification program at The University of Texas at Arlington; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Lensey Sardar exemplifies the passion, |
|
|
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|
|
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|
|
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lensey Sardar on her nomination for |
|
|
the 2025 Plano Independent School District Secondary Teacher of the |
|
|
Year award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Sardar as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
