R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kennedy Moorman has been honored as the 2024-2025 |
|
|
Rookie of the Year by the Southern Methodist University cheer |
|
|
program in recognition of her exemplary performance, leadership, |
|
|
and team spirit; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A member of the SMU spirit cheer team, Ms. Moorman |
|
|
has shown outstanding dedication and growth, both as a cheerleader |
|
|
and in her personal life, during her tenure with the cheer program; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Moorman takes tremendous pride in wearing the |
|
|
Mustang uniform, embracing every opportunity with humility, |
|
|
enthusiasm, and a deep love for her squad and university; she is a |
|
|
young woman of great character who inspires those around her, and |
|
|
her exemplary contributions and her commitment to supporting others |
|
|
exemplify the highest ideals of teamwork and perseverance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through early morning practices, unforgettable |
|
|
moments on the field, and bonds forged with teammates, Kennedy |
|
|
Moorman has embodied the true spirit of what it means to be a part of |
|
|
something greater than oneself, and she is indeed deserving of this |
|
|
notable accolade; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kennedy Moorman on being named the |
|
|
2024-2025 Rookie of the Year by the Southern Methodist University |
|
|
cheer program and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Moorman as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
