R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Tracy Morgan, the facilities director at Galveston |
|
College, has received the 2025 Facilities Management Distinguished |
|
Service Award from the Texas Association of Physical Plant |
|
Administrators; and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1979, TAPPA represents more than 175 |
|
educational organizations across the state; each year, the |
|
association honors an individual for their leadership, mentorship, |
|
and commitment to excellence in educational facility management; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A community college graduate and a veteran of the |
|
U.S. Air Force, Mr. Morgan has nearly two and a half decades of |
|
experience in the field of facility management; he joined the staff |
|
at Galveston College in 2022, and he has overseen a number of major |
|
expansion projects, including the addition of the three-story, |
|
64,000 square-foot Health Sciences Education Center; he also leads |
|
a team that maintains all the college's facilities at the main |
|
campus as well as the Charlie Thomas Family Applied Technology |
|
Center; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his skill and professionalism, Tracy Morgan |
|
has greatly benefited Galveston College, and it is a pleasure to |
|
join in recognizing him for his many contributions; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tracy Morgan on receiving the 2025 |
|
Facilities Management Distinguished Service Award from the Texas |
|
Association of Physical Plant Administrators and extend to him |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Morgan as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
