R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ariana Rodriguez has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative aide and policy analyst in the |
|
|
office of State Representative Gene Wu during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a fellow in the |
|
|
Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program, Ms. Rodriguez has |
|
|
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging |
|
|
tasks, including conducting legislative research, communicating |
|
|
with constituents, preparing policy briefs and reports for the |
|
|
representative, and monitoring committee hearings; in addition, |
|
|
her work has focused on immigration issues and health and human |
|
|
services policy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A first generation scholar, Ms. Rodriguez is a |
|
|
recent graduate of St. Edward's University, where she earned a |
|
|
bachelor's degree in international affairs and was active in the |
|
|
Monarchs On The Hilltop student organization; her previous |
|
|
experience has included working as a Senate messenger at the Texas |
|
|
Capitol and serving as an intern with the World Affairs Council of |
|
|
Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ariana Rodriguez has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative aide and policy analyst with skill and dedication, and |
|
|
she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Ariana Rodriguez for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide and policy analyst in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Gene Wu and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
