R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The family and friends of Gilbert Edward Reinhard
  Jr. of Floresville suffered an immeasurable loss with his passing
  on October 20, 2024, at the age of 75; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Edward and Dorothy Reinhard, Gil Reinhard
  was born in Floresville on November 19, 1948, and raised in Poth
  with his three siblings, Jack, Kim, and Lance; some of his favorite
  childhood memories included family barbecues, trips to his mother's
  mercantile store, and visits with his grandmother; and
         WHEREAS, After earning a bachelor's degree in chemistry from
  St. Mary's University, Mr. Reinhard embarked on a successful
  45-year career with EG&G Automotive Research, later PerkinElmer,
  where he worked as a chemist testing fuel samples; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Reinhard met his future wife, Celeste Marie
  Dumas, through work, and the couple's wedding on June 14, 1997,
  marked the beginning of a rewarding marriage that spanned 27 years;
  a loving father, Mr. Reinhard took great pride in their children,
  Hannah and Gillian; and
         WHEREAS, Inspired by summer trips to Rockport in his youth,
  Mr. Reinhard maintained a deep love for the ocean throughout his
  life, and he delighted in painting beautiful coastal landscapes and
  collecting artwork featuring lighthouses and seaside views; a pop
  culture buff as well, he was knowledgeable about a wide variety of
  media, ranging from classic films and old Westerns to Degrassi and
  Harry Potter, and his taste in music encompassed many unique genres
  and artists, including his favorite band, the Beatles; and
         WHEREAS, Known for his kind and generous nature, his goofy
  sense of humor, and his unwavering devotion to his family, Gil
  Reinhard brightened the world for all who knew him, and they will
  forever hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Gilbert Edward
  Reinhard Jr. and extend sincere sympathy to his relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gil
  Reinhard.
