R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Aaron W. Lurin has distinguished himself in his |
|
responsibilities as a communications intern in the office of State |
|
Representative Gene Wu during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Lurin has provided |
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
which have included communicating with constituents and |
|
stakeholders; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|
field of public service, he has learned more about the legislative |
|
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
WHEREAS, A 2024 graduate of The University of Texas at |
|
Austin, Mr. Lurin holds a bachelor's degree in political |
|
communication and an elements of computing certificate; |
|
previously, he worked as a press intern for U.S. Representative |
|
Mike Levin in Washington, D.C., through the Archer Fellowship |
|
Program at UT, and he also served as a policy intern for State |
|
Senator Royce West during the 88th Legislative Session; moreover, |
|
he has experience as a Voter Activation Network assistant for the |
|
Texas Democratic Party, as a policy and communications intern for |
|
AARP Texas, as a communications intern for the City of Austin |
|
Housing and Planning Department, as a research assistant at the UT |
|
LBJ School of Public Affairs, and as a field organizer for Zohaib |
|
"Zo" Qadri for City Council; and |
|
WHEREAS, Aaron Lurin has performed his duties as a |
|
communications intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Aaron W. Lurin for his service as a |
|
communications intern in the office of State Representative Gene Wu |
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Lurin as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
