R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Abigail Melton of Barbers Hill High School in |
|
|
Mont Belvieu has been named the recipient of a 2025 Mont Belvieu |
|
|
Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce awards |
|
|
scholarships to four graduating Barbers Hill High School seniors |
|
|
each year; funded by the annual Barbers Hill Fall Fest, these $1,000 |
|
|
scholarships are granted to students who intend to earn a degree in |
|
|
one of four fields: first responder, health care, teaching, or |
|
|
counseling; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Melton plans to pursue a career in clinical |
|
|
psychology, with the goal of providing meaningful support and |
|
|
solutions to individuals in turmoil; an engaged citizen, she has |
|
|
also given generously of her time and talents in behalf of her |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing |
|
|
her as she embarks on a future bright with promise; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Abigail Melton on her receipt of a |
|
|
scholarship from the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Melton as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
