R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Laela Jade Ovalle has distinguished herself in her |
|
|
responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative R. D. "Bobby" Guerra during the 89th Legislative |
|
|
Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as part of The University of |
|
|
Texas Rio Grande Valley Legislative Internship Program, Ms. Ovalle |
|
|
has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of |
|
|
challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in |
|
|
the field of public service, she has learned more about the |
|
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An active student in her campus community, |
|
|
Ms. Ovalle is a member of the UTRGV Political Science Association |
|
|
and the Rio Grande Valley College Democrats, and she has received |
|
|
several recognitions on the dean's list; she also serves |
|
|
prospective students as a call agent in the undergraduate |
|
|
admissions office; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Laela Ovalle has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Laela Jade Ovalle for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative |
|
|
R. D. "Bobby" Guerra and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ovalle as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
