R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Karan Mehta has ably served his fellow Texans as |
|
|
legislative director in the office of State Representative |
|
|
R. D. "Bobby" Guerra during the 89th Legislature; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Mehta's resourcefulness and initiative have |
|
|
earned the appreciation of his colleagues, and his contributions to |
|
|
carrying forth Representative Guerra's legislative agenda have |
|
|
helped address issues facing citizens across the Lone Star State; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Mehta holds a bachelor's degree in political |
|
|
science and international relations from Illinois State University |
|
|
and a backend software development certification from the Turing |
|
|
School of Software and Design; previously, he served in the |
|
|
Illinois Senate as a legislative aide and a member of the |
|
|
communications staff, and he later became the director of |
|
|
communications and execution for the child-care startup Nanno in |
|
|
Denver, Colorado; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his |
|
|
duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Karan Mehta for his service as |
|
|
legislative director in the office of State Representative |
|
|
R. D. "Bobby" Guerra and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Mehta as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
