R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A number of future leaders have provided
  indispensable support as participants in the Texas Legislative
  Internship Program during the 89th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, The Texas Legislative Internship Program was
  established by State Senator Rodney Ellis in December 1990, and it
  is administered by the Mickey Leland Center on Hunger, Poverty and
  World Peace at Texas Southern University; the program provides
  students from Texas colleges and universities with a unique
  opportunity to serve as interns in the Texas Legislature, in
  various state agencies, and in local government; and
         WHEREAS, Students receive academic credit for participating
  in the program, which combines academic study and research with
  supervised practical training; as interns, they gain firsthand
  knowledge of the governmental process and work experience in a
  political environment, as well as insight into the issues facing
  our communities and our state today; and
         WHEREAS, This year's participants in the Texas Legislative
  Internship Program are Alexis Bryanna Williams, Allison Grace
  Mobley, Anthony Gabriel Hernandez Escobar, Anuj Mocherla, Ayesha
  Bookard, Aylin Murillo Valle, Billy Neal Rash Jr., Bryan Botani,
  Carlos G. Garth, Cha'mier Isom, Courtland Langley Reeves, Derrick
  Abram, Diana Resendez, Dylan Kunert, Elizabeth Diaz Arreola, Emily
  Pearce, Heather Williams, Hrishi Marakani, Imari Reynolds, Isabel
  "Shaneece" Marian Flax, Isabella Contreras, Jadyn Steave, Joshua
  Thomas, Joy Chanslor, Karnies Adams, Kayla A. Campbell, Khoi
  Nguyen, Kieran Williams, Makumya Max M'membe, Maria Yuliana Soria
  Chavez, Meredith L. Sanchez, Mytron Washington, Natalie Garcia,
  Omar Gamboa, Oscar Alejandro González Velázquez, Rebekah
  Besserman, Regan Gabrielle House, Sean Gilmore, Steven Ronald
  Sedtal, Tristan Benson Jr., Tytiana McWhorter, Uniqua Smith,
  Vedanth Ramabhadran, Xavier Millan, and Xontianyah Williams; and
         WHEREAS, Through the diligence and resourcefulness that they
  have demonstrated while performing a multitude of tasks, these
  admirable young men and women have contributed significantly to the
  offices they have served and, in turn, to the constituents who
  reside in their districts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the members of the Texas Legislative
  Internship Program Class of the 89th Legislature for their
  excellent work and extend to them best wishes for the future; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the class as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
