R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Kyle Taylor of the Kyle Fire Department has been
  named the 2024 Fire Chief of the Year by the Texas Fire Chiefs
  Association; and
         WHEREAS, Presented at the group's annual conference, the Fire
  Chief of the Year Award is a peer-nominated honor that recognizes
  exceptional leadership and service within the Texas fire
  profession; and
         WHEREAS, Chief Taylor has dedicated more than two decades to
  the fire service, and he has led the Kyle Fire Department since
  2013; during his exemplary tenure, he has overseen significant
  growth and change within the agency while remaining committed to
  the safety of the community and the well-being of firefighters; and
         WHEREAS, Before coming to Kyle, Chief Taylor served as a
  battalion chief for North Hays County Fire/Rescue ESD #6 in
  Dripping Springs; he began his firefighting career with Red Oak
  Fire Rescue in Ellis County, working his way up from volunteer
  firefighter to captain; he holds a bachelor of business
  administration degree from the University of North Texas and a
  master of public administration degree with an emphasis in
  emergency management from Sam Houston State University; moreover,
  he is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire
  Officer Program and has earned numerous professional
  certifications; and
         WHEREAS, Chief Taylor has immeasurably benefited the
  residents of Kyle through his outstanding leadership in public
  safety, and he is richly deserving of this prestigious honor; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Kyle Taylor on his selection as
  2024 Fire Chief of the Year by the Texas Fire Chiefs Association and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in his vital
  endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Chief Taylor as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
