R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Isabella Olivas of El Dorado High School was named |
|
|
an outstanding performer at the UIL State Mariachi Festival held in |
|
|
Seguin from February 20 to 22, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her exemplary musical performance, Ms. |
|
|
Olivas distinguished herself among hundreds of top-tier high school |
|
|
musicians from across Texas; in recognition of her achievement, she |
|
|
earned a draped state gold medal; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A lead violinist and vocalist in Mariachi Azteca, |
|
|
Ms. Olivas has helped to elevate the ensemble's reputation, |
|
|
inspiring younger members and building a strong sense of unity |
|
|
within the group; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This talented young musician has demonstrated a |
|
|
commitment to excellence through hard work and many hours of |
|
|
practice, and she is a source of great pride for her fellow |
|
|
students, her family, and her many supporters in the community; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Isabella Olivas on being named an |
|
|
outstanding performer at the 2025 UIL State Mariachi Festival and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Olivas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
