R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Clint High School in the Clint Independent School |
|
|
District celebrated its 100th anniversary during the 2023-2024 |
|
|
academic year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Clint High School was founded in 1919, and its 1924 |
|
|
graduating class included just four students; today, the campus |
|
|
boasts an enrollment of more than 730 students, and it is guided by |
|
|
the core values of responsibility, quality work, community service, |
|
|
teamwork, and diversity; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Clint High School adopted the motto "Win the Day" |
|
|
and selected a mascot, the lion, and school colors, royal blue and |
|
|
white; the campus fosters a supportive and challenging academic |
|
|
environment that equips students with the tools they need to become |
|
|
successful and productive members of society; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For more than a century, the faculty and staff of |
|
|
Clint High School have dedicated themselves to meeting the |
|
|
educational needs of their students, and the school has played a |
|
|
vital role in helping many young Texans build a bright and |
|
|
fulfilling future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 100th anniversary of Clint High |
|
|
School and extend to all those affiliated with the campus sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Clint High School as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
