R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mamacitas Restaurant in Clint is celebrating the |
|
|
15th anniversary of its founding on June 1, 2025, and this occasion |
|
|
offers a welcome opportunity to reflect on the history of this |
|
|
popular local eatery; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established by Fabian and Magda Estrada in 2010, |
|
|
Mamacitas Restaurant offers authentic Mexican cuisine; the |
|
|
interior is decorated with sports memorabilia from Clint, San |
|
|
Elizario, Fabens, and Tornillo High Schools, as well as from El |
|
|
Paso's first world champion boxer, Jennifer Han; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mamacitas regularly hosts live music, karaoke |
|
|
nights, and televised sporting events; deeply rooted in the Lower |
|
|
Valley community, the restaurant has partnered with area events and |
|
|
supported local schools; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of a decade and a half, Mamacitas |
|
|
Restaurant has become a signature Clint enterprise, and owners |
|
|
Fabian and Magda Estrada may take great pride in their record of |
|
|
service to the community as they celebrate this special milestone; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 15th anniversary of Mamacitas |
|
|
Restaurant and extend to all those associated with the restaurant |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mamacitas Restaurant as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
