R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dallas Jax Dohl of Americas High School in the |
|
|
Socorro Independent School District has distinguished himself in |
|
|
his responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Mary E. González; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the course of his internship, Mr. Dohl has |
|
|
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging |
|
|
tasks; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of |
|
|
public service, he has learned more about the legislative process |
|
|
and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A senior at Americas High, Mr. Dohl is a member of |
|
|
the Libertas Academy program for students interested in law, |
|
|
government, and public administration, and he has demonstrated |
|
|
exceptional leadership ability by serving as historian and creative |
|
|
director of programming; he has also participated in Destination |
|
|
Imagination and the Sierra Student Coalition and has managed a |
|
|
challenging course load that includes numerous dual credit and |
|
|
Advanced Placement classes; active in his community, he has |
|
|
volunteered with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger and the El Paso Villa |
|
|
Maria women's shelter; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dallas Dohl has performed his duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Dallas Jax Dohl for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Mary E. González and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Dohl as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
