R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal |
|
|
milestones, and Avery Penrod is participating in that joyful |
|
|
occasion with her graduation from Allen High School on |
|
|
May 23, 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Penrod can reflect with great pride on the |
|
|
perseverance she has demonstrated in the pursuit of her goals |
|
|
throughout her high school career; a member of the National Honor |
|
|
Society and the varsity volleyball team, she was named an Eagle |
|
|
Scholar and has received a number of accolades recognizing academic |
|
|
and athletic excellence, including the AVCA Best and Brightest |
|
|
award, the Eagle Pride Award, and Academic All-District and First |
|
|
Team All-District honors; she has further distinguished herself |
|
|
through her involvement in the school's WINGS and PALs programs; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Penrod has tutored |
|
|
middle school students and served as a referee and volleyball coach |
|
|
for the Allen Sports Association; she has also been involved in Life |
|
|
Fellowship Student Ministry; in the fall, she plans to study |
|
|
psychology at the University of Arkansas; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|
|
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and |
|
|
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with |
|
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Avery Penrod on her graduation from |
|
|
Allen High School and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Penrod as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
