R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Benjamin Keith Abell has distinguished himself in
  his responsibilities as a senior legislative aide in the office of
  State Representative Yvonne Davis during the 89th Legislative
  Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Abell has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  including managing the calendar and coordinating policy events for
  the legislator, communicating with government agencies and
  advocacy coalitions, and drafting speeches, press releases, and
  talking points; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the
  field of public service, he has learned more about the legislative
  process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Abell has further contributed to the work of the
  Texas House of Representatives as a director for special projects
  and emerging issues and as an advisor; his previous experience also
  includes serving as a regulatory compliance consultant, as regional
  organizing director for the Connecticut Democratic Party, and as a
  confined space technical rescuer and safety specialist; a combat
  veteran, he served in the U.S. Army as a military intelligence
  analyst in Afghanistan; and
         WHEREAS, Benjamin Abell has performed his duties as a senior
  legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Benjamin Keith Abell for his service as
  a senior legislative aide in the office of State Representative
  Yvonne Davis and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Abell as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
