R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Ronnie Davis is retiring as chief of the Kaufman |
|
Fire Department in May 2025, drawing to a close 45 years of |
|
exemplary service as a firefighter; and |
|
WHEREAS, Chief Davis began his career as a member of the Ennis |
|
Fire Department, and after serving with the agency for several |
|
years, he joined the Seagoville Fire Department, where he worked |
|
for a decade and a half; and |
|
WHEREAS, In April 2017, this esteemed public servant was |
|
named chief of the Kaufman Fire Department; over the course of his |
|
tenure, he has distinguished himself in his duties, and his efforts |
|
have enabled the agency to excel in its mission of protecting the |
|
lives and property of area residents; and |
|
WHEREAS, Chief Davis holds master firefighter certification, |
|
and he has received two Life Saving Awards; in 2021, he was |
|
presented with the Carl "Skip" Thomas Memorial First Responder |
|
Award for his outstanding leadership and dedication to serving his |
|
community; in all his endeavors, he enjoys the love and support of |
|
his wife and their family; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through his hard work, professionalism, and |
|
commitment to public safety, Ronnie Davis has greatly benefited the |
|
people of Kaufman and earned the respect and admiration of his |
|
fellow firefighters, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a |
|
career well spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his |
|
life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronnie Davis on his retirement as |
|
chief of the Kaufman Fire Department and extend to him sincere best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Chief Davis as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
