R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Destiny Aladeyelu of Grand Prairie has |
|
|
distinguished herself in her responsibilities as a legislative |
|
|
intern in the district office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|
|
during the 89th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Aladeyelu has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including helping with casework, drafting constituent |
|
|
correspondence, and aiding in the planning and execution of |
|
|
District 101 Day at the State Capitol; in addition to gaining |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service, she has learned |
|
|
more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens |
|
|
of the Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Aladeyelu is working toward a master's degree in |
|
|
public health at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she |
|
|
previously earned a bachelor's degree in the same subject; active |
|
|
in her campus community, she has served as president of the Texas |
|
|
Public Health Association Mavericks Student Chapter, as vice |
|
|
president of the Lambda Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, |
|
|
Incorporated, and as an orientation leader and student coordinator |
|
|
for New Maverick Orientation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the years, Ms. Aladeyelu has received numerous |
|
|
awards in recognition of her academic and extracurricular |
|
|
achievements; she currently works as a graduate assistant with the |
|
|
UT Arlington Follett Student Leadership Center, and she will take |
|
|
part in the UT Archer Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C., |
|
|
during the summer of 2025; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Destiny Aladeyelu has performed her duties as a |
|
|
legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Destiny Aladeyelu for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the district office of State Representative |
|
|
Chris Turner and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Aladeyelu as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
